The Sophia Antipolis Font de L'Orme Centre is located on the French Riviera in Europe's first specialist IT and technology hub, the Sophia Antipolis International business area. The 6,000-acre park combines a focused development and technology environment with lush green surroundings. The aim of the technology park is to create an international community that unites science with business, so the centre is surrounded by leading global companies and there are opportunities for tenant networking through local professional clubs, including one for telecoms companies. The European Institute for Telecommunications Standards has its headquarters here and 40 per cent of organisations on the park are involved in research. The park's own science and technology university campus brings together academic and entrepreneurial ICT resources. The centre is easily accessed by public transport.
