The Paris Montparnasse Centre is located in a charming Art Déco building, the façade and roof of which has been classified as a historic monument. The building is on a corner on the Rue du Rennes, which was a source of inspiration for many 19th century painters, and is one of the longest shopping streets in Paris, although the centre's double glazing ensures a quiet work environment. The 14th arrondissement is a thriving business quarter famous for the skyscraper Tour Montparnasse. Companies close to the centre cover such diverse businesses as insurance and surveillance/security. The centre is a short walk from the Gare Montparnasse, the main terminal for Atlantic high speed train (TGV) lines and a commuter hub. It is also convenient for car parking and other public transport, including several metro stations.
